We have reopened Jenn and Zach on our event viewing site, just because it’s SO g-o-o-o-d. I think I’m going to use it as a foundation for a place to go to see many more wedding ideas and samples. Go to “event viewing” and enter wakefield / 17793 to get in……………..enjoy!

Road trip!!

February 11, 2008 at 12:54 am (Uncategorized)

What a great weekend! My bride and I travelled to Asheville N.C. for a “Growing Marriage” seminar Friday night with the fellow that wrote “The Five Love Languages”, Dr. Gary Chapman. Our weekend and the two day marriage enrichment program were time well spent.  I highly recommend the book, it gives you different perspective on communication in relationships. The entertainment Friday night was fantastic. First we saw Denver and the Mile High Orchestra. These guys are from Nashville and they can PLAY. Fabulous singing and top rate musicianship. Next we saw a comedian/magician that was the funniest one person I’ve ever seen on stage. He was amazing! You must find a way to see his act! Check out Stephen Bargatze, you’ll be glad. By the way, all of these entertainers had a stirring Christian testimony, a refreshing change of pace to what’s normally found in today’s culture.Sunday morning in Asheville we visited one of our all-time favorite restaurants in the area, The Tupelo Honey Cafe. I had to take a camera in and catch some of the action…dsc_0070.jpg

Children’s Photography etc.

February 5, 2008 at 3:09 pm (Uncategorized)

One thing for sure, Mom loves pictures of her kids. Even more than love, well done portraits can produce such pride and so many memories that I’ve seen a package of portraits bring tears of joy.  Good photographers realize how much responsibility they hold when photographing children. There is no excuse for a “bad” portrait of a child. They are so full of life, personality and truth that even mediocre photographers should be able to capture something appropriate with a minimum of effort. The element of make-believe, the creation of a believeable world that a child can enter is essential to getting a natural expression. That fake “cheezy smile” doesn’t show the true personality and lend to a portrait that will survive generations. A great children’s photographer needs to be on their subject’s level in many ways. Tuned in- amazed at the subtle wonderful things all around us. The inner child must be just under the surface in order to amuse or even hold the attention of a child. When YOU believe that Elmo is whispering in your ear, the child will too.Indigo Photographers is dedicated to creating portraits that reflect the wonder and beauty of children. Stay tuned for more on this subject…………..dsc_0023.jpg
